Field Study happens every Friday at Chrysalis Charter School!
Field study is designed to help children actively engage in science and nature. It can include off-campus trips to local forests, creeks, lakes, and nature preserves, as well as on-campus activities that help encourage a love and respect for the natural world around us. Parents are invited to attend and participate in all Field Studies! If you have a particular science or nature skill that you would like to share, you are also invited to help plan a Field Study.
Our class will participate in Field Study in the afternoons, from 12:30-2:30. However, due to extreme heat, this time may change to mornings for the months of August through October.
In most situations, the school's bus will take and return students to school. If parent drivers are needed for a particular Field Study, you will be notified in advance. Please make sure your paperwork is in order with the school office if you wish to drive on these trips.
